Thanks for your interest in enrolling your student in one of Rhode Island's State Pre-Kindergarten classes. Due to demand, students must be selected for enrollment through a state-supervised lottery.
What you need to apply
- An active email address
- Current phone number
- Child’s legal name
- Child’s Date of Birth (Must be 4 by 9/1/2019)
- Child’s address
- Monthly Household Income (Lottery is not income dependent)
To be eligible for enrollment, you child must turn 4 years of age by September 1 and live in the community in which their Pre-K program is located. A copy of the child's birth certificate and proof of residency will be required upon enrollment. Family total income will be verified to match what is reported in this application in order for child enrollment to be completed.
What happens next?
Applications to the statewide lottery are accepted through 07/07/2019. This application can only be completed using the following browsers: Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox. The lottery will run following General Assembly passage of the state budget. All applicants will be notified by email about their selection status (i.e. selected or waitlisted).
Once you have successfully submitted your application you will receive an email confirmation. Please retain this email and confirmation number for your records. If you do not receive an email confirmation your application has not been submitted to the Pre-K lottery.
